I was exhausted. Burned out from endless swiping and dating apps that felt like job interviews.

Honestly, I actually enjoy being single. But I had this growing bucket list of things I wanted to do, and no one to share them with. Art Jamming. Hiking trails. New cafes. All these experiences I was putting off because doing them alone felt… lonely.

So I tried IRL singles dating events. They were better, I think? At least we could all vibe check each other. But as a natural introvert, walking into a room full of strangers with the pressure to “connect” felt intimidating. 

That’s when it hit me: What if people met while doing something fun? What if connection happened naturally through shared experiences? What if dating was just a byproduct?

That’s how The Loam Collective was born.
